Dear Parents,
Many thanks to everyone who sent in items for the Op Shop
and the cake sale. This event seemed a great success, so many thanks for your
support.
Next week is the last week of school clubs, unless the
leader of the club has advised your child otherwise.
• Monday at 5.30pm we will be holding a literacy Parent
information evening ‘Helping your Child with Reading’. This is appropriate
for parents of both key stages.
• Due to a football match on Tuesday there will be NO football club for
years 5&6
• Wednesday years 5&6 begin their day at church. Please ensure children
arrive in good time for worship to begin promptly at 9am.
Also on Wednesday some of our able Musicians have been selected to go to
a Partnership Music Workshop. This has been organised by the Deputy Heads
and senior staff at our primary schools.
• On Thursday our year 5EB class are making Greek food for tasting and
would like to invite their parents into a sale of their goods at 3.00pm
in their classroom or outside if it is fine.
Next Friday is Sport Relief Day and our children will
be doing various sporting activities throughout the day, please make sure
that you have your kit.
On Saturday 20th, our cross country team will be taking
part in a cross country challenge at Banbury School. They are to arrive
at 9.15am for a 9.30am start. Children need to be collected at 11 o’clock.
Parents’ Evening sign up sheets will be outside your child’s classroom from 3.00pm on Monday 15th March. Please sign up to speak to your child’s teacher, they will be happy to see you to update you on your child’s progress.
Please ensure that any money you send into school is securely placed in a sealed envelope with the details of what the payment is for,
plus your child’s name and class clearly written on the front.
Congratulations to the Athletics group who went to Banbury School on Wednesday evening. They won and will now go forward to the final. Thanks to Mr Strange and staff who accompanied them.
Lots of achievements in swimming this week : Ruby 5m,
Edie 25m (but kept going even further). Georgia, Freya,
Ishbel, Rosie and Luke 50m. Natasha and Bryony
1000m. Sam his water skills 3. Charlotte her level
1 diving certificate. Owen has achieved his Beginners stage. Ali, Camilla
, Ellie and Bryony have achieved their Improvers
stage.
Cassie achieved her silver medal for 2nd place for tap at the Nuneaton festival. Lilly – Modern Jazz grade one and grade two in Ballet. Aaron has a Scrambling trophy.
Jasmine has gained her bronze level in Gymnastics. Marlie has achieved his red belt in Karate.
Chess Club certificate of merit for: Joseph, Ellie J, David and Scarlet.

FOBLS orienteering event takes place on Sunday 21st March in the afternoon. The Start/Finish will be from Bodicote Church House car park (map ref: 4600 3763) Come along anytime from 1.00pm until 2.30pm to register. Groups start at two minute intervals. The course is set along the public footpaths and bridleways surrounding Bodicote. You have an hour and a half to first plot and then visit as many (or as few) checkpoints as you choose. Entry is £1 per person. Maps provided, just bring a pencil and ruler.
